If you want a great budget electric guitar then you’ve come to the right place. Here are the top models, available in 2021.
Yamaha Pacifica 112V
This guitar has a long-lasting appeal, with an alder body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. It’s got 22 frets in total, and it’s got two Alnico V single coils, as well as an Alnico V humbucker on the bridge. The vintage vibrato block saddle is not to be overlooked and it comes in a variety of finishes, including silver metallic, sonic blue, raspberry red, old violin sunburst and of course, natural satin. It’s a great guitar teaching model for professionals too.
Gretsch G2622 Streamliner
The body for this guitar is laminated maple, and it’s semi-hollow for those who want that vintage feel. It’s got a Nato neck and it’s also got a rosewood fingerboard. There are 22 frets in total and two Broad’tron humbuckers for the pickups. The V stop tailpiece is great and it’s got an Adjusto-matic bridge. Unfortunately, there aren’t many finishes available, but that doesn’t change the fact that this guitar is unbeatable for the price. The finishes include walnut satin and black. The build to price ratio is incredibly high, with plenty of potential when it comes to future upgrades.
PRS SE Standard 24
Quite possibly the most versatile guitar on this list is the PRS SE Standard 24. It’s got a mahogany body, maple neck and a 25” scale. The rosewood fingerboard is very luxurious and there are of course 24 frets. The pickups are 2 x 85 and it comes complete with a PRS vibrato and PRS tuners. It’s not available in a left-handed variant like the other guitars are, but the stunning colours leave nothing to the imagination. You have vintage cherry, translucent blue and the famous tobacco sunburst.
